So thankfully for our Yukon XL

A few weekends ago we went camping up at Wood's Canyon Lake. We love going up there since it is so nice and green and there are pine trees aplenty. We drove up on Friday and when we got to Payson I asked Brian again about the temperature. His response was it was going to be nice. Well his nice and my nice are way different. I guess I need to be more specific in the weather reading because 40 degrees during the day is not my idea of nice because the nights you know are going to get colder! Thankfully I had packed the boys warm jackets, didn't think I would need snow boots or other snow gear! Yep we get up to Wood's Canyon and there is snow. Not completely covered, but large patches. The camping area we had planned on going to we could not because of the snow. I did not want to try and push the trail out if we got stuck. So we found another area, which was even better and set up camp. Teagan and Rayle LOVE camping. Tank had so much fun too. He had never been in snow, and was like swimming on the top of it. It was pretty funny to see. After we set up Brian wanted Teagan to drive his quad around by himself. He did pretty good. I got some video of it so make sure you watch it. Rayle enjoys pushing the gas full speed. You have to hold the brake and then you still feel like you are going to crash. That kid is something else. No way is he driving by himself until he is less crazy. So that night is when it got fun! We all have pretty nice sleeping bags, ours go down to 35 degrees and the boys go do to 15. Well Brian and I were so cold! The boys seemed fine, and I would have crawled in with Rayle but he has a mummy bag. So what were we to do, have mom and dad freeze to death and the boys wake up to that. We thought about coming home but I did not want to pack up in the middle of the night. So Brian took everything out of the Yukon and made up our beds in the back. Thankfully the boys are still small because in a few years that would not happen. We tried to get Tank to come in the back too, but he was too scared to get in. We put him in the tent with a sleeping bag and hoped he would be okay. We were glad that we did not pack up because we had another fun and relaxing day on Saturday. Later in the afternoon we packed up and headed home. I love camping and how peaceful it is. I could go every weekend I told Brian. Just to get away for a night is so nice. Here are some pictures, and if you want to go we love going with other people too.
Rayle had found a burnt stick and then wipes his face. Nice!

Rayle was trying so hard to put his helmet on himself!!

Reading at Home

Yesterday when I picked Teagan up from preschool, he had a short reader to bring home for practice. He was so excited to read the book with us. We are so amazed with what he has learned in such a short time of attending this preschool. It is so true what they say about kids, and being sponges, they soak up everything. Teagan did so well sounding out each word from the short story and only had problems with the three sight words that were in the book. You could tell he was so proud of himself. Teagan we love you and we are super proud of all that you do!!

Our Easter

I know that it has been a week now but we finished up celebrating Easter this past Sunday. When you have a split family you do what works for everyone. Teagan started off with a party at preschool. He came out wearing this oh so cute mask. I made these treats from an ad on T.V. and it was so funny one of the little girls came up to me and said I saw those on T.V. I said me too that's where I got the idea. She was too cute.On the Saturday before Easter we got together with Brian's step dad and had some fun. Teagan and Rayle do so well with other kids that they hardly know. They had lots of new buddies to hang with. When we got home the boys helped Grandma decorate some bunny cakes for the next day.
On Easter Sunday we made the trek up to Payson. It was nice to get out of the valley if only for a few hours. We had a great time and enjoyed my side of the family. One great thing about being pregnant and volunteering to bring something is that you can pick something that you have been craving for months. So I made a spinach and artichoke dip. After dinner the boys had fun playing with bubbles, I mean Uncle Chad and Daddy had fun with bubbles. Our boys had fun chasing them too. We had an Easter Egg hunt and Teagan has become such a pro at finding eggs. Of course the Easter bunny visited our house before we left too. The boys got some good loot. To finish up our Easter celebration we got together with my mom, step dad, step sister and brother in law, and sister in law yesterday afternoon. Teagan and Rayle love having fun with their cousins. We had another egg hunt and just hung out. This time of year is so much fun. Just wish it were not so HOT already!

In the DOG HOUSE...

Okay no ones in trouble here, but the statement is well more literally! Brian has been busy building Tank a dog house. He has done such a great job! Teagan and Rayle were there helping too. I am not sure if Tank goes into at night but I know he knows it was for him. The boys like to play in it for sure though!!

So it's a...

Okay today was the day. I kept thinking man this baby better cooperate and let us know. I had vision of the baby hiding with legs crossed and not allowing us to see. Well thankfully that was not the case. We were able to see the baby and I love the ultra sound experience. Seeing little feet and hands that you can feel moving inside you is a wonderful moment. We took Teagan with us since he will be able to remember this moment. So here is Teagan to let you know what this baby is going to be.
