Another post about...yep you guessed it TEETH!

I guess it is true when someone loses a tooth another gains a tooth. Just kidding! So Teagan lost a tooth last week and Ashlyn is getting her FIRST tooth!!! The kicker, it is the SAME tooth that Teagan lost. I was talking to Brian that I should look in Teagan's baby book and see if the tooth he lost was the first one he got. I think it would be kind of funny if that were the case. Well yesterday Ashlyn was a little cranky and did not want to go to bed. Usually she goes down around 8 and sleeps ALL NIGHT. Well I could not get her to go to sleep. I put my finger in her mouth and there was a little tooth that had finally cut through. She has had the budded gums for quite a few months now. I have just been waiting and waiting. So now she is onto the races and it looks like tooth number two will be on its way soon. She is so cute and I just LOVE baby grins with a few teeth sticking up. Can't wait to get that picture!

No More

Yesterday was the day that the little baby tooth was no more. I had Rayle and Ashlyn loaded up in th eYukon to take Teragan to school, and Teagan was finishing brushing his teeth. He came running out and said his tooth fell out. Yep it sure did. He was all smiles. He told me as he was brushing his teeth he heard something fall and hit the sink counter. He looked down and there was the tooth. Thankfully it did not fall down the drain. There was no blood and Teagan is so excited about this new hole in his mouth. Makes me a little sad as it is just proof that he is really growing up. I made up a little pillow with a pocket for the tooth. The tooth fairy made a visit last night and wrote Teagan a little note about how special his first baby tooth was. He also got $5! Lucky kid. That first tooth is worth a little more because it sends out a beacon so that the tooth fairy knows to come to our house. I took pictures of his tooth the day he lost it but I did not know the memory stick had not been put back in UGH thanks Brian. So I don't know how to get the pictures off the camera like that. I took these today. (May 23)

Loose

We have our first loose tooth in the house. It seriously makes me want to CRY. My little baby is growing up and I want to be selfish and keep him small forever! Yesterday at church I noticed that Teagan's bottom tooth looked a little funny. So I had him open his mouth and I touched it. Yep is moved. So he kind of got freaked out. At the beginning of the school year I told him he would most likely lose a tooth this year. Teagan didn't really like that idea, but as the year has gone on he has seen a few of his classmates lose their teeth so the idea was coming around. But yesterday he was not for it. He started to cry so Brian took him home and had him bit into an apple to see if it would come out. It did not do the trick. We are now just playing the waiting game. The one next to it is also loose but not as wiggly. So Teagan will very soon be short of two teeth. Trying to get that tooth to come out.
In Ashlyn news she is 8 1/2 months old and still has NO teeth. Both boys had a mouth full at this age. Like about 6 teeth each. So I guess she will get them when she gets them.

It's May...Already?!?

Today is May 5th some may celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but in our house we celebrate Teagan and his birthday. What a day to be born on, no matter what there will be some kind of a party. So today Teagan is 6 years old. I can not believe how fast it has gone. I remember when he was born, well I should because I am the one that pushed him out;) Teagan is such a great child. He is super smart and loves school. He is friends with everyone. Today I took him lunch at school, and everyone, kids not even in his class were coming up to him and saying hello. It was fun to see. Later I took some treats during their snack time to celebrate his birthday. It was cute to hear all the kids sing to him. Last Saturday we had a small party for him and a few boys from his class came. It was really fun. Teagan we love you so much and are so proud of you this last year. You have learned so much and we can't wait to see you grow even more and learn all that you can. Thanks for being our son!
