It's no April Fools Nolan is 5 months old!!! How is that possible? Nolan got two teeth at the end of March. Can't wait to snap that first toothy grin! He is trying hard to sit up on his own. So strong! He adores his daddy and looks for him all the time when he hears him speak. Sadly for me it doesn't seem he is getting enough from nursing alone, so we have started to supplement with formula. I hate that since I didn't have to do this with any of the other kids. Of course him getting what he needs is most important. Nolan loves holding his hands together, and it's pretty much adorable. He loves sleeping on his side or tummy. He also has been sleeping in his crib since mid March. He is doing well. He was sleeping through the night, but occasionally will wake up to nurse in the early mornings. He started blowing raspberries, and I still need to capture it on video. He is such a calm baby most of the time and brings such a sweet spirit into this crazy hectic home. Nolan is weighing in around 15 pound and is 26 inches long!

First Tooth
Nolan has been showing signs of teeth for awhile now. This morning I felt that first tooth has finally popped through. I feel so bad for this sweet babe. I hope he is able to handle the next teeth that will be coming soon. I attempted to get a picture but he was not having it. I don't blame him, but I can't wait for that first tooth grin!!!! Nolan is almost 5 months old. I think he may be the earliest to teeth. I can't remember though.

Nolan 4 Months
Time is just flying by and Nolan is 4 months old. Nolan is smiling and starting to laugh more every day. He lights up when anyone talks to him. He is doing great at night and is such a good baby. He is starting to teeth and is a tad cranky in the afternoons. So glad to have this cutie in our family!!! Nolan weight is lower than I expected at his well check. He weighs in at 13lbs 5oz his length is 25 1/2" long. But he of course looks perfect still! All our kids were not big chubby babies! Even now Rayle and Teagan are pretty lean. Ashlyn is just sold. Don't pick her up if you have a bad back haha.

My Heart Is Full
I am so grateful to be able to be a mother to my lovely kiddos!!! This week has been long but good! I have worked Monday through tonight (Friday) so I have really only seen my older kids in the morning and for about a half hour once they get home from school. I miss them so much!!! Glad I don't work tomorrow but we have lots to do in our garage and I hope they will be really helpful! Nolan is growing like a champ! I am anxious to see how much he weighs because I do not trust our scale. He looks like he is gained a lot and his cute cheeks I just want to eat them up. He is sleeping through the night as I am feeding him when I get home. Before he woke up around three now he's waking up when I get up in the morning to get the kids going. He is such a sweet baby. Last week he rolled over from back to tummy. He doesn't like to be on his tummy's, so he usually cries. He's drooling a lot so I think teeth are coming soon can you get irritable but nothing we can't handle he's alert and less to get smiles and we're still waiting for some laughs. It truly is wonderful to have a baby in the house again, and Ashlyn is asking for a sister, let's just take a break on that and enjoy Nolan for a while. Rayle is earning his Bobcat at the Blue and Gold Banquet next week. Ashlyn will have her tumbling recital in May and we can't wait! Teagan had his science fair project due this month. He chose to do his project on electrolysis of water. He did a great job and his project looked amazing. However he was not chosen as a finalist, because he didn't do one part and that was needed. He thinks he would've been in the finals had he done that one part but he still did a great job!!! We got the kids spring pictures and I can't believe one how adorable they are and two how grown up all the kids look!!! It seriously has flown by so incredible fast! Teagan will be 11 in May! Seems like yesterday I was holding him in my arms like I am with Nolan now! Again so grateful to my Father in Heaven for the opportunity to have these four kids to love and nurture.

Nolan's First Valentine's Day
I saw an idea on Pinterest and had to recreate it today with our Nolan babe. The picture was with an older baby possibly a toddler lying in cars shaped into a heart. Well since Nolan only has two real favorites right now, binkies and boobs, I decided to just use hearts! 😉 Your welcome!
Happy First Valentine's Day!!!

Nolan Three Months
No Well Check this month so I don't know exact weight. So I did the old standard get on a scale and then pick up Nolan and see the difference. Haha so it looked like he was around 14 pounds. Length is around 23 inches long. Nolan loves to smile and enjoys all his siblings. I am still on pins and needles waiting for him to laugh. He loves his binky and constantly sticks his hands in his mouth. I am going to guess teeth soon. We will wait and see! Nolan is such a sweet babe!

Day Outfit
This morning I asked Rayle if he could help out and get Nolan dressed. He responded, "So should I get him in his Day Outfit?" This just caught me funny. Must have been the way he said it. Meant an outfit for the day. So I said "Why yes not his evening out fit or his traveling outfit!" The kids sure do love Nolan and since he smiles and coos at them I guess the feeling is mutual! 😉
Nolan's Day Outfit! He's ready for the beach and some sailing. Rayle didn't get him dressed, the older kids still won't help with diaper changes and clothing this cutie. Daddy helped out and got him dressed. Busy mommy and only two hands and so much time to get out of the house in the morning.

Master Nolan
My due date on 10/23 came and went, something I really didn't expect. Then there was the fact that I had calculated when I first got pregnant that my date was 10/19. Who knows though. I really wanted a baby born in the month of October. It didn't happen. On Halloween we dressed up the family in our Star Wars theme minus our Ewok and set out in the neighborhood. We didn't stay out too long. All the kids were kind of over it, surprisingly. Brian had to work that night so he was kind of hoping all the walking would get labor started. It probably did but not in enough time. Honestly I am not sure when I noticed the contractions but about the time Brian got home I was on the verge of calling him. This was roughly four am on November 1st. I tried calling my sister (her phone was OFF!) and had to call my mom a few times to wake her. We got the kids up and took them over right away. With this being baby #4 and my contractions coming about every three minutes we didn't want to wait too long. The contractions didn't last very long but were very consistent. When we got to the hospital I stayed with Brian because I can remember sitting in the area outside of triage laboring with Teagan and it felt like FOREVER for Brian to come back to me. So we parked and I walked real slow. Once in triage they hooked me up and all and that bed was the devil! My back was hurting so bad! Turns out Nolan was posterior or sunny side up. It seemed that it took a long time to get into my delivery room. Once there I could not handle the back labor and got my epidural. Of course I was dehydrated so they had to give me lots of fluids before I could get my epidural. I knew I should've stopped for that Gatorade at Circle K. After the epidural I labored and used a peanut ball. Worst thing EVER when you can't move. It helped to bring Nolan down and at 11:50am I started pushing. He was born at 11:53am. Oh I have never felt the ring of fire until this birth. And I am sure it was nothing really since I had the epidural. Man did it hurt down south! Well the doctor allowed me to naturally tear. YIKES! I have always been cut before but apparently they don't do that anymore!!! Would have been nice to know, thanks doc! Well the pain was of course worth it as Nolan Cade was born. I am pretty smitten! He was 7 lbs 11 oz, and 21 inches long. Definitely all boy!
