Spring Break 2024

I was able to take four of the kids and go to California with Candy and Ellie my niece. We stayed near the beach, and even spent a day at Sea World. It was so much fun to get away for a few days. The condo we stayed at was so nice and the walk to the beach was quick. We missed Brian and Rayle at home. We are hopeful to go back to CA this summer. Here are some of the beach photos.

It’s been awhile

Gosh I honestly miss blogging, so going to start it back up. Back in 2015 we moved southern Arizona for a job opportunity. Brian was still hurt from his accident in March 2015, but could easily transfer to the Tucson Yard. We rented for a year in the area and then purchased a home. We are coming up living in our home for 8 years. Longest we have ever stayed in one place. Not only have we stayed put awhile, we also added two sweet girls to our family. We always wanted six babies, but it took a span of 16.5 years to have all of our cuties join our family. We welcomed Emmerson (Emme) in November 2017, and Saydee came along in the mist of the pandemic in December 2020. It’s great to be a mommy to three boys and three girls. Not sure if I want to back track about life or just start fresh.

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Well Ashlyn has been in need of a trim for some time now. Her hair gets so tangled and I knew it was time. Well I set up an appointment with a friend and as we were driving I asked her what she wanted. She said I want to cut it short! I really LOVE that girls hair. It's so beautiful!!!! But it is her hair. So I quickly pulled up Pinterest and tossed her my phone. She found a cute bob that she wanted. So when we got to my friends house she pulled her hair into some braids so we could donate the hair. I truly love the cut and I am sure it will be a breeze to take care of but man I can't wait for it to grow back! Ashlyn also mentioned that we now look the same since my hair is shorter too. Okay got to love a girl that wants to be like mommy! Melt my heart sweetie!
She doesn't understand what donating means so she was not amused here. Look at those long locks!!!
Meet my daughter that already acts older, and now looks it even more! Also glad she had pictures recently with her long hair!

Nolan 5 Months

It's no April Fools Nolan is 5 months old!!! How is that possible? Nolan got two teeth at the end of March. Can't wait to snap that first toothy grin! He is trying hard to sit up on his own. So strong! He adores his daddy and looks for him all the time when he hears him speak. Sadly for me it doesn't seem he is getting enough from nursing alone, so we have started to supplement with formula. I hate that since I didn't have to do this with any of the other kids. Of course him getting what he needs is most important. Nolan loves holding his hands together, and it's pretty much adorable. He loves sleeping on his side or tummy. He also has been sleeping in his crib since mid March. He is doing well. He was sleeping through the night, but occasionally will wake up to nurse in the early mornings. He started blowing raspberries, and I still need to capture it on video. He is such a calm baby most of the time and brings such a sweet spirit into this crazy hectic home. Nolan is weighing in around 15 pound and is 26 inches long!

First Tooth

Nolan has been showing signs of teeth for awhile now. This morning I felt that first tooth has finally popped through. I feel so bad for this sweet babe. I hope he is able to handle the next teeth that will be coming soon. I attempted to get a picture but he was not having it. I don't blame him, but I can't wait for that first tooth grin!!!! Nolan is almost 5 months old. I think he may be the earliest to teeth. I can't remember though.

March 14th never forget

Brian almost died March 14th. I am so over emotional! I am so grateful that I found him when I did and took the actions quickly yet calmly to get the help he needed. He had been working on his truck and the transmission came apart and while Brian was under the truck it started to roll down our driveway. Brings body was in the way and literally he stopped the truck from rolling into the street more than it did. Our front door happened to be open and I heard a crash and him yell. Well with Brian that's not an uncommon thing but something told me to book it outside and I found him unresponsive under the truck stuff up under the drivers side. Rayle happened to follow me out and I told him to run to get Jesse Brown our neighbor two doors down. I ran and got my phone and dialed 911. From the time I found him and the paramedics arriving took less than 10 minutes. They pulled him out from under the truck and loaded him up. I didn't know what I would find t the hospital. I got the kids loaded and headed for my moms house to drop off the kids. I kept Nolan with me since I was not prepared and didn't have any bottles ready. Candy met me at moms and she drove me and Nolan to Scottsdale Osborn hospital. This hospital is known to be a great trauma hospital. When we got there and got to see Brian we learned that he had to have a ventilator as he was struggling to breath while in the ambulance. X-Rays also showed he had 8 broken ribs, a broken sternum and left clavicle. His lungs were also bruised. He was sedated and was on the ventilator from r 24 hours. He was finally able to show he could breath on his own and that was a great day. Brian doesn't remember a whole lot of Sunday and Monday. Tuesday the 17th he had surgery to repair his clavicle. He now is the proud owner of a melt plate and some screws! Brian was released from the hospital on Friday 20th. We are happy he is home but it will be a long road to recovery. I am just glad that Heavenly Father didn't choose now to take him from us. Jesse Brown gave him a blessing while under the truck. He also got a blessing from our Bishop while in the ER and the night before his surgery.
We have had lots help and prayers on our behalf and I know they have all been felt and appreciated!
Out of surgery!
Ouch!
Home and starting to heal!
