The Land of Legos

Last week was Teagan's Spring Break. We had decided to make a trip last minute to CA and go to Lego Land. It was so much FUN!! We asked my mom to come with us to help with the kids. On Monday morning we headed out on the road. It was a good drive with just a few whines here and there, but hey for being in the car for over 6 hours I can take a few cries. We got to Carlsbad around 5 in the evening and had some pizza. We were right off the I-5 and so close to Lego Land. It was like 10 minutes away. On Tuesday morning we got up around 7 and got ready. The park opens at 10 but we wanted to get gas and get there early. Our hotel had a wonderful and filling complementary breakfast for us. So nice that we did not need to take care of that. With our trusty GPS we found Costco and filled up our tank of gas. The Costco was so close to Lego Land too. Seriously just up the street. We got to the park about ten minutes early and headed in for a day of fun. As we went into the park we headed left, I think most people did so the first ride we waited about 30 minutes. That was about the longest wait we had. There was hardly anyone there it was nice. Most people were like us there from out of state on Spring Break. As we were walking to see more of the park we saw face painting. The boys have never done this so we decided to get that done. Rayle LOVED it. He is still asking about painting his face. I need to get some and learn how to do it. The boys got to drive their own Lego cars which they loved. We well had a wonderful time. Ashlyn did so good too. After the park we decided to go to Costco and buy some food instead eating out. We found lunch for the next day and a great chicken salad which we put on rolls. What a yummy dinner. Wednesday we went back to the park and did some rides we had missed the day before. The park was just about perfect for our boys. There were only a few rides that Rayle was not tall enough to go on, and even though Teagan was tall enough there was one roller coaster he did not want to go on. Then there was one ride that you had to be four to ride, on Tuesday we had said Rayle was four so he could go. Well Wednesday Mr. Teagan tells them he is three. Rayle cried and cried because that had been the one ride he had been wanting to ride all morning long. Oh well what can you do. We think that the trip was a nice success and would go back again sometime, when Rayle really is four! Here are some pictures from our days out of AZ.

We got a GIANT on our hands

Well in the Gibson realm of Giants that is. Ashlyn had her 6 month check yesterday and if she keeps up her growth she will pass up the boys in height. Now people will ask me if I have triplets instead of them ALWAYS asking me if Teagan and Rayle are twins. Here are Ashlyn's stats: she ways in at 14lbs 11.5oz, and she is 26.25" long. She is in the 20th percentile for weight and between 50 and 75 percentile in height. Rayle in in the 25th percentile and Teagan is in the 3rd percentile. So our little girl will not be the little one around here unless she stops growing. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Last weekend my sister (who moved to FL in December) came out for a visit. It was so nice to see her if only for a few days. She was very busy trying to see us all. I am thankful that we were able to spend some time with her. We miss her like crazy but know she is enjoying this change in her life. Can't wait until she moves back "home".

Oh February where have you gone???

2010 is speeding by and I am missing it. Where did February go I would like to know. I am now practically only 11 more months closer to turning 30. This can not be happening. Where did my twenties go? Oh yeah I got married and had three kids. I am in my second class with University of Phoenix. I decided to take it SLOW and have a nice three week break between courses. Ashlyn needs her mommy more than I need to rush through school. I helped out at the Farmhouse Boutique a couple of weekends this month. Part of my family got together to remember my dad on the 16th. I still can't believe it has been 6 years. It seems just like yesterday he was here. Brian lost his Great Grandpa this past Friday. He has gone to be with his sweet wife that left this world nine years ago in March. Today we got the privilege to travel up to Camp Verde to witness Brian's Grandma Betty get baptized. Ashlyn is now 6 months old. Yeah this one is crazy since now she will be a year old in just another short six months. She is such a sweet baby and we are so lucky that Heavenly Father has given us the opportunity to be in her life. We saw some great friends, Brian worked on some changes to our home. All great improvements. I am sure this month has brought other fun, crazy, and memory filled things, but I can't think of anymore that are standing out right now. Tomorrow I am starting March off right, I am going to learn how to make jam. Can't wait!!!

He is pretending to be a bunny rabbit.:0)

A Nice Visit

Today we were lucky to have some old friends come by. They moved to Northern California a few years back and we get to see them once a year. They had a lot of family to see and we are thankful they could come a spend a few hours with us. They got to see Miss Ashlyn for the first time and it was nice to see how big their children have gotten. We wish we could see them more often, and someday we hope to make a drive to their neck of the wood.

What in the World

What are those boys looking at???
My grandma awhile back bought the boys some of the little growing lizards and dinosaur and we put them in some water to see them grow. They should grow by 600% when all done. What is funny is that they keep looking at them expecting them to be big, but it takes 72 hours. So we will have to have a little patience and see what happens.

Eating it Up

Ashlyn is only 5 months but every time we eat she looks at us with longing eyes and just drools. So we decided to start her on some cereal. She was not too sure about it, but seems to be okay now. I love when babies start to eat, I think it is so funny. She sure enjoys making a MESS with the cereal too. I think we will go nude, so I do not have to look through all her laundry for stains too.
