2009 Thanks

So this last year we have had a lot to be thankful for. The number one reason would be my grandma. With out her I have NO idea where we would be. She has given us a home and that is priceless, for all we know we could have been living in our vehicle. Also the Lord has blessed us with our beautiful daughter, Ashlyn. Brian and I have part time jobs that have helped us squeak by, barely. I finished my Associated Degree. I pray that 2010 will bring some new things for us. I pray that Union Pacific will pick up for Brian or that he will find something entirely different. (The last time Brian worked for UP was on May 8th) I start back to school and I pray that I can continue with my education and still have time to be the mom that I should be to my children.

So this year we were talking about what we want for Christmas. I told Teagan I wanted a house, I know a large order, but I can dream. My grandma decided that she was going to buy us a house since we are unable to do so and we can pay her back. We have been on the hunt since early August. We have looked at a lot of houses. We put in 6 different bids. Well one was finally excepted. We closed on December 1st. We are almost ready to start moving in. Brian and I have worked at the house every day since the 2nd of December. Also we have both worked our part time job as well. We painted and cleaned and now we just need to move all of our stuff in. We currently reside in about 400 square feet. And it will be nice to spread out just a little! I am so excited to have a home again, and my grandma is truly the best ever.

I hope that 2010 will be a little kinder to us and to all the others that may be struggling this year. I really do not like to leave my children to go to work, but I am so grateful to even have a part time job at all. I pray that I can have the faith to know that Heavenly Father will provide for us. It has been hard for me to do so this year. 2010 WILL BE A BETTER YEAR FOR ALL!!!

Ashlyn's Blessing

On November 1, 2009 we were able to bless our precious little girl. We are so grateful for this wonderful daughter that Heavenly Father has given to us. Ashlyn is such a great addition to our family. She is so sweet and we love her very much. Thank you to all that came to the blessing. A special thanks to those that drove up from Coolidge, the Skousen's, Carver's, and the Niu's. Thanks so much for being there for us on this special day. Also a big thank you for all the family that joined us. We are grateful for all of our family and the love they share with us. I decided to have Ashlyn wear the dress that I was blessed in. I hope that some day she can bless her little girl in the same dress.

Just had to point out look at Brian and how he is holding Rayle's ear. haha Rayle was trying to run in to the very busy street. What a stinker.

On a side note: I was painting Ashlyn's new room (yes we are moving :0) and I will blog about that another day) and the room is pink and brown. Teagan made a comment that I want to write it down so I don't forget. He was concerned about the colors and if Ashlyn would be okay with those choices. He said mom what if the doctor was wrong, what if Ashlyn does not grow up to be a girl. I laughed so hard!!!

Halloween

Wow so posting about Halloween now. Slowly catching up. Halloween night our ward had it's Trunk-or-Treat. We had chili, corn bread, hot dogs, and dessert. Then the children did their trunk-or-treating. This year I did not have to buy any costumes. Teagan wanted to be Spider Man and Rayle was Buzz Lightyear. Ashlyn used the fairy wings and a tutu we bought for her first pictures. After the ward party Brian took the boys down the street we live on to finish out the night. It was a nice holiday. We carved our pumpkins the day before. Teagan really like doing this, but Rayle wanted nothing to do with cleaning the pumpkins out.
All our kids dressed up.
