Spring has Sprung

I love living in AZ this time of year. Now in a few months I will want out but right now it is just about perfect!! We have been keeping busy and that is always nice. There are these free build workshops at Lowe's and the boys have gone and done this twice. Each time they have really enjoyed it.
At our first build. It was a mini baseball game.
Painting their projects.
Yea mom helped a little. Rayle's is on the left and Teagan's is on the right.
The boys at their second build, it was a mini see it grow planter box. Teagan really did have a fun time. They have not painted these yet, but we plan too. Our next build is May 1st.
Ashlyn is growing quickly and just in the past few days is moving even more. She is trying to get up on her knees and go but just doesn't know how to do it yet. Her crawl is so different than I remember the boys at this age. Teagan is still doing really well in school and we enrolled him in after school t-ball. He loves it! In a few short weeks he is turning 6! Then school will be out and he will be ready for first grade. I have no idea where the times has gone. Rayle is doing well in preschool but it is like pulling teeth to get any information out of him. He is so smart but does not want to let you know what he knows. Little stinker! He loves pretending to be a super hero and everyday he is someone different. The things he says crack us up. Today he wanted to buy Avatar, I told him no that daddy did not want to buy it right now. He told me that dad could stay in the car and I could go buy it. Hahaha I guess he has not figured out that mommy and daddy are a team yet. We are face painting at Teagan's birthday so I thought I would get in some practice. Here is SpiderMonkey from Ben 10 Alien Force.
Our little Logan...I mean Wolverine.
Teagan and Rayle love their sister, here is Teagan feeding Ashlyn. He did really good until he left the food where she could grab it. She made a MESS.
Teagan was Student of the Week. They went by the first name in ABC order so Teagan had to wait a long time to be the Student of the Week. I had fun making his poster for him.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

So when Teagan was a wee babe he had NO hair. Seriously he got his first hair cut at like 21 months old and ONLY because I wanted to finally get it done. When Rayle came around he was born with more hair than Teagan, and I decided I would shave it often to help encourage it to grow. At night I would go into his room and sing to those little hair follicles. Just kidding. But really I did shave it down. I personally have very little hair. So I told myself if I ever have a girl I would shave her head to encourage more hair growth. Well that is what I have done. I wish I would have cut it more often as I have only done so twice since she was born. We have had some pictures taken so I was waiting to cut it all off. I shaved Ashlyn right before Christmas and again last week. Each time I cut her hair, she has had about an inch to an inch and a half of hair well thinking back the first time she had over 2 inches. That is exciting because it seems to grow pretty fast. I plan on shaving her more often, it's like when you cut their little nails on Monday and by Wednesday you need to cut them again. They grow SO fast.
Before the hair cut. The little booger kept moving so the pictures are a little fuzzy.
And after. Still one cute baby!
More about Miss Ashlyn. She is 7 1/2 months old. She can sit by herself and not fall over usually. If she stops thinking about her balance then over she goes. She loves to eat her baby food. Her favorites include: apples, pears, green beans, and her all time favorite is squash. She does not like carrots, sweet potatoes, or peas (I can't blame her on that one...GROSS) She gets around by rolling and loves to go after things that she shouldn't, like wires. She has just started to push her way forward ever so slowly. She will be crawling before we know it. She loves to stand up but needs support to do so. She loves to bounce on our legs and goes crazy. She likes to be in the center of attention and when she feels that not everyone is aware of her she will squeal. Not sure where she acquired needing attention from since everyone here is so quiet and shy. HAHAHA! She is such a WONDERFUL sleeper. I put her down around 8 pm and she gets up around 7 ish. She takes two nice naps during the day. Her brothers both adore her and she lights up when they talk to her. Soon that may change when she starts getting into their toys. Every where we go we get compliments on how cute she is. The old ladies just love her at the grocery stores out here. It is really fun to have a little girl. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father saw fit to give us one even though I really wanted all boys. Yes I am hooked on girls and I would LOVE to give Ashlyn a little sister some day.

Eggtastic

We had a really nice and relaxing Easter. On the Saturday before Brian's mom and sister came over and helped color eggs with the boys. Rayle had green hands. It did come off a few days later thankfully! Coloring eggs is so much fun, but I seriously think it took longer to get the color ready then to actually color the dozen eggs they did. Also we made sure that the Easter Bunny can find us that night. The boys and I drew up some messages on the driveway. Gotta love sidewalk chalk. Teagan happened to wake up Saturday night after the Easter Bunny had come. He saw Ashlyn's basket but there was nothing for him or Rayle, he was pretty upset. He actually cried himself to sleep. :0( On Sunday the Easter Bunny did find them all. He left Ashlyn a basket and the boys a note. It said their baskets had been hidden, but he was nice enough to leave some clues to help find them. The boys really had fun following those clues. Later that day we went over to Brian's moms house to have dinner. It was nice and low key. All in all we had a nice a relaxing Easter.

It reads: Enter here Easter Bunny.
We thought the Easter Bunny would like some chocolate covered strawberries, since he is so busy hopping to all those houses. Teagan also wrote him a note.

family photos

Back in March we had the opportunity to get some family photos. Thanks again Diana, we love them. Here are some of our favorites.
