New Friends

Today was a chance to make new friends. I am so grateful for the gospel and knowing no matter where we go my children will most likely have classmates and friends. Teagan has already received a phone call and set up a play date with a boy! Rayle a little more reserved said that a school mate from another class was at church. Hopefully tomorrow he can connect with him at school as well. So excited for this little change!!! Ashlyn didn't want me to leave during Primary but she seemed to have done wonderful during class. Can't wait for Scouts on Wed. Should be a GREAT week!!!

Princess Camp

Yesterday our boys went camping for Fathers and Sons except they went with another dad since Brian had to work and couldn't take time off. I had planned to have Ashlyn and I do a princess camp. It would include watching movies, doing hair and make-up, and painting nails. But I was so worn out from the Field Day at work so we didn't do a lot. We had dinner and watched Tangled and then I crashed. Ashlyn fell asleep with me in bed too. So this morning I had to redeem myself and I did her hair, make-up, and nails. I had her put on the flower girl dress from my sisters wedding from last year and I snapped some pics. She had fun but won't do all the poses I wanted her too. Daddy was not too happy, he said she looked to grown up and he's not ready for his little princess to be all decked out in make-up. We were just having some fun though and man it's tough getting make-up on Ashlyn she does not sit still for ANYTHING!!!

Ashlyn

Lately Ashlyn has been cracking us up with what she says and does. A few days ago she told Brian in the morning that "she went to bed and woke up, and now she is big". Over night she was ready for kindergarten, however we are not...thankfully she has one more year before that! Yesterday while watching T.V. there was a commercial about twin babies, she told me we need two babies and that when they cry we can just put them in cages! I don't know where she is learning these mothering skills?!? Maybe because she is locked in her room for time outs since she does not stay in the corner? Anyways if there is "a" baby (not 2) in our future I will be sure to not lock them up when they cry!
She also has great style when allowed to dress herself! And apparently she gets VERY distracted as seen in these photos!

Ladies Man

Ever since Rayle was little he has been a ladies man, not sure if I should be worried about that yet. He loves to dress up and when I told him to go get ready for his first grade program the other day, he hurried and got dressed. What a stud! I love this kid!!! I also LOVE the fact that he wants to wear glasses, like totally OBSESSED with it. Brian found some old frames and popped out the lenses and Rayle was in glasses heaven!!! So cute! This little guy is rocking 1st grade right now. Already doing multiplication in math, hello I struggled in 3rd grade to learn mine facts. I am so proud of him! Honor Roll as 3 quarters so far and should make the 4th as well.

Chili AGAIN

I made Chili again on Sunday and remembered to snap an after pic. However I thought I had white beans, but nope none at all :( so I used some black beans. They worked fine!!! Here is the link to the recipe that I used. HERE
I changed just a few things. I made it all in the crockpot and only used half a can of chicken broth. Chicken was also left in breast and then shredded down after it was cooked. There was more chicken this time around, and I almost could have used more broth to this chili. Then I also added a jalapeno for some KICK(seeds and all)!!! Super yummy. Make sure to add the whipping cream and sour cream at the end. Like the recipe I waited to add when I wanted one more hour of cooking. It lasted in our house oh two days with the left overs. Nothing got wasted from this deliciousness!!!!!!

Halloween 2012

Halloween is a great holiday! I love it! We do a lot of celebrating because we don't just limit Halloween to October 31st! The school where the boys go always does a Fright Fest, it's their ONE fundraiser for the year. It's always fun and we love to go! This year, Brian was not feeling all that well, and had to work the night shift so I took our three goblins by myself. Hence we did not stay too long. But we still had some fun. This year we didn't do a family dress up theme. I hate it! I love a good theme! So Ashlyn wore a princess dress and I added a crown. Teagan wore an old ninja costume, and Rayle had gotten a Green Lantern suit for doing some work at my mom's. However there was a run in the back side so he added some cool PJ pants to cover that up!

 Our princess!
Ninja's and Green Lantern can get along!
 WATCH OUT!
 Ready to go!
I didn't get too many pics but here is a slide they all went on. It was HUGE and Ashlyn had to figure out how to climb without tripping up on her dress. She did it!
 Dancing to some music!
 Go Teagan!!!

On Tuesday Oct 30th we had our Ward Trunk or Treat. It was combined with another ward and lots of fun. We had chili, cornbread, mac and cheese. There was a few bounce houses, a cake walk, and fishing for the kids. Lots of treats, and then of course the trunk or treating from car to car to get candy!!!  Costume changes AGAIN. Rayle put on some clothes to go as Harry Potter.

I painted Teagan's face and he was cactus man or something like that!
Ashlyn had preschool party that day and I meant to repaint her face but ran out of time. I found this cool mask on pinterest and made it up real quick the night before!
Here is Brian's shirt I made him for Halloween. He is excited to wear it for me.
Actual Halloween Rayle went as Batman! Thank goodness for lots of choices right!!!

We went to Chipotle for dinner! $2 burritos for costume dress ups. The kids hated it! It was too spicy for them!
After dinner we went over to Brian's mom's and then to the Red Mt. MCC campus for their free event. We went last year and it's lots of fun. We went again with the Perkins. After we finished up there it was late and the boys had school so we went home. Oh we did take all three through a Zombie Ward at MCC. They all freaked out and I think we deserve worst parent award for scaring them. Oh well!
