Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

So when Teagan was a wee babe he had NO hair. Seriously he got his first hair cut at like 21 months old and ONLY because I wanted to finally get it done. When Rayle came around he was born with more hair than Teagan, and I decided I would shave it often to help encourage it to grow. At night I would go into his room and sing to those little hair follicles. Just kidding. But really I did shave it down. I personally have very little hair. So I told myself if I ever have a girl I would shave her head to encourage more hair growth. Well that is what I have done. I wish I would have cut it more often as I have only done so twice since she was born. We have had some pictures taken so I was waiting to cut it all off. I shaved Ashlyn right before Christmas and again last week. Each time I cut her hair, she has had about an inch to an inch and a half of hair well thinking back the first time she had over 2 inches. That is exciting because it seems to grow pretty fast. I plan on shaving her more often, it's like when you cut their little nails on Monday and by Wednesday you need to cut them again. They grow SO fast.
Before the hair cut. The little booger kept moving so the pictures are a little fuzzy.
And after. Still one cute baby!
More about Miss Ashlyn. She is 7 1/2 months old. She can sit by herself and not fall over usually. If she stops thinking about her balance then over she goes. She loves to eat her baby food. Her favorites include: apples, pears, green beans, and her all time favorite is squash. She does not like carrots, sweet potatoes, or peas (I can't blame her on that one...GROSS) She gets around by rolling and loves to go after things that she shouldn't, like wires. She has just started to push her way forward ever so slowly. She will be crawling before we know it. She loves to stand up but needs support to do so. She loves to bounce on our legs and goes crazy. She likes to be in the center of attention and when she feels that not everyone is aware of her she will squeal. Not sure where she acquired needing attention from since everyone here is so quiet and shy. HAHAHA! She is such a WONDERFUL sleeper. I put her down around 8 pm and she gets up around 7 ish. She takes two nice naps during the day. Her brothers both adore her and she lights up when they talk to her. Soon that may change when she starts getting into their toys. Every where we go we get compliments on how cute she is. The old ladies just love her at the grocery stores out here. It is really fun to have a little girl. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father saw fit to give us one even though I really wanted all boys. Yes I am hooked on girls and I would LOVE to give Ashlyn a little sister some day.
