Half Day Fun

Today the boys had a half day at school. Last week I said we could go to the Dinosaur Museum but we never made it. Today we made it happen. The kids had so much fun! This was the first time for Ashlyn and she was not too sure about those dinosaurs when we first got there. By the end she was running around like crazy! Here are some pictures of our outing.

Happy Happy Gobble Gobble Day

I honestly can not believe that Thanksgiving has come and past us by. Where is 2011 going???? Anyone else feel it's like warp speed?
I am so grateful for this year, it's been very nice to be a mom to our children and watch them learn and grow. I am so excited for next month, giddy actually!!! I just want to break everything out and give it to my kids! I can't wait to see their little faces light up! Christmas is the best time of the year, and though the year has flown by, I am glad it's almost here. I have been finding deals here and there. We got Teagan's main gift at the end of July, and I don't KEEP secrets very well. It's been tough to keep it under wraps. We still have a little more shopping but we are almost done, and it's so fun! I am glad that we can spend a little extra on our children and let them feel the love of the season. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had many things to be grateful for, I know I did.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

First Time Bowler

Yesterday, Rayle had the opportunity to go to his best friends birthday party. It's was a fun event, bowling at Brunswick. Rayle has never gone bowling, so this was a new experience. I was glad that he had so much fun, and enjoyed his evening. The pictures were not great, because he does sit still so I got a little video. It was a nice evening out for the both of us.

Finishing up a week of Spirit

Yeah today is Friday, and after school a start to a WHOLE week off. To finish out spirit week, today is school spirit, wear you blues and reds to show your love for Noah Webster Basic School! Today is also the Thanksgiving party, where they get to sample PIE!!! I told Teagan and Rayle that they couldn't have any, but I am pretty sure they aren't going to listen. Yesterday I made a popcorn turkey so they could have that in class too. The office staff thought they were pretty cool. Happy Friday everyone!!!

Spirit Week

Today we weren't really feeling all filled with spirit, so I let them slum it up. J/K today was pajamas day and crazy socks. I don't think Teagan did the socks, but I know Rayle put on a pair of my socks. He loves wearing different crazy socks! I tried to do their hair like it was all messed up from sleep, not sure how well it turned out though.

Spirit Week

Today is twin day, which I know all about. J/K However I am asked often if Teagan and Rayle are twins, yes they look a lot alike (because they are brothers) but no they are not. Teagan and Rayle are twenty-five months apart. Anyways, so today at school they were suppose to dress the same as another person, instead of tracking down a classmate to play matchy matchy, I just made it easy and had Teagan and Rayle dress like twins. And I must admit, they are pretty darn handsome!!!

Spirit Week

Today is Decades Day with the choices of 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. I did the 50's in the past with Teagan white tee with jeans rolled up (check back here), but I wanted to do more than that. I loved growing up in the 80's and being born in 81 I do remember the side pony tail, shirt rolled to the side, big hair, and Cyndi Lauper was really my all time FAV!!! With boys though I think its hard to come up with ideas. Girls 50's poodle skirt pink ladies jacket, 60's pencil skirt cool hats, 70's flowery dresses bell bottoms, 80's BIG hair t-shirt neck cut out pull to the side. With boys I was coming up blank. I decided we will do 80's overalls one strap down, anything that would make Michael Jackson jump out from his grave MC Hammer pants. (Did you sing it? I did) When I went to Goodwill, there were NO options that could work, it was sparse pickings seriously! I really didn't have time to track down apparel for school dress up. So I knew that Teagan has two pair of cords and Rayle could borrow one. I have plain white tees and so went and I got a tie-dye kit and made up some shirts. I also found some patches to go with the theme. Most importantly the boys loved them.

Two Year Old Poster Child

I am happy to say she fits the bill. She is stubborn, wants her way, can throw a full out tantrum at any time, and she is as cute as a button. It really is hard not to laugh!

School Spirit

It's that time again already, School Spirit Week. Today is the mild Backwards Day. The boys wanted to go all out even with their underwear, seriously wouldn't that be SO uncomfortable!!! To his, his own I guess. Just glad we caught Rayle the lover of wearing the same pair of socks for three days straight. Weird kid!!!

Santa, yep already!!!

Today at Frys they were passing out free samples, and Santa was also there. We shopped, had some Yummy snacks, and got a quick pic with the jolly old man. I was a tad afraid because last year Ashlyn was not so happy to be near the Claus. (Link here back to 2010 Santa Photo) This year was amazing I got her out of the shopping cart and she literally ran right up and stood for a picture opp! So glad I didn't have a screaming, crying, upset child leaving the store. Happy girl= happy mommy!!!

SHOPPING

She will be a pro some day, just like momma! I took her one day and let her walk with me, what an adventure! She did pretty good to stay by me, but there was a lot of people around. Maybe next time we will take her own cart.

Dancing the afternoon away

My kids LOVE when we crank up some toons and they will dance the day away. Ashlyn is trying to do summersaults but every time I try to video it, it never works out. Oh well. Rayle has got the moves!!!!

Pumpkin Fan Here!!!

When I was excepting Teagan, the schools directors wife made some from scratch pumpkin bread. Even the pumpkin was not canned she had steamed down a pumpkin and made her own. It was to die for. I was in HEAVEN!!! Since then I have made many a loaves of pumpkin bread. Early this year I wanted to make muffins, and thought mmmmm pumpkin muffins would be the best. I found a recipe and waited, because pumpkin is only sold this time of year :( However the wait has paid off! The cherry on top, all of my family is just as crazy for them as I am! The recipe yields like 4 dozen and today I made the last batch....until next week!

I added some chocolate chips too!

Happy Halloween Ghosts

I came across this too cute of an idea on babble.com. I thought I would share it with Rayle and Teagans teachers and see if I could come in and do this fun art project. Both teachers agreed. Last Friday I went into Rayles kindergarten class and stamped 35 cutie pootie little tootie toes. They were so cute because most of them had super ticklish feet. It went pretty smooth, but took a long time, I was grateful that the aide helped me out so much! On Monday was 2nd grade time. I had a parent helping me, and I only had 45 minutes again to stamp 35 kids. I had to be fast, and thankfully we ended right on time. It was fun, but overwhelming, because it was lots of work. I hope the parents were okay with white feet, because the kids weren't great at scrubbing the paint off, and there was no time for me or the other parent to do it. I think they turned out wonderful. Also something to remember just how big the child's foot was in 2011. I stamped Ashlyn too, hers was my example.

Oh one other thing, there are a lot of kids with VERY high arches! Many ghosts had to be connected because when I stamped them down there was a heel and the ball of the foot and no middle.

Teagan's feet

Rayle's feet
